Of Multiple Belongings reimagines an overlooked trailhead that connects ecologically-significant San Bruno Mountain and Daly City, the Pinoy Capital of the US. The design aims to celebrate and reflect the neighboring Daly City community—predominantly Filipino, immigrant, and working-class—while simultaneously respecting and preserving the existing beauty of the site (eucalyptus grove and all). Prioritizing subtle interventions over a master-planned overhaul, the space invites visitors to experience the layered and hybridized qualities of surrounding culture and nature.
