We hosted an interactive seed collection workshop where we began the process of propagating red elderberry (Sambucus racemosa) for the San Bruno Mountain Test Plot. The workshop included an exploration of the test plot garden site and nearby Colma Creek Headwaters and a step by step guide to processing the seed. The seeds are currently undergoing stratification to initiate the germination process and will be sowed into the test plot in the winter.
